A question from the game

What food or smell instantly takes you back to childhood?

Don’t take our word for it. Try one.

Read the question. Answer it to each other. See where it goes.

Sample question

What food or smell instantly takes you back to childhood?

Question 1 of 5

Pick a way to play. We’ll take it from there.

  1. Choose your setup

Sit together with one phone, or take one each from wherever you are.

  2. You both get the same question

The same question for both of you, each in your own language.

  3. Answer privately

Neither of you sees the other’s answer until you have both written one.

  4. Reveal together, then talk

Ask more, switch the question, or let the conversation wander. There’s no rush to finish.

Questions that lead somewhere.

UNFOLD isn’t a compatibility test, and it isn’t a deck of random conversation starters. Every session is made to create room for real answers, unexpected stories, and the kind of tangents you don’t want to cut short.

  • Not a test.
  • Not therapy.
  • Not a race through a deck.
  • Just a better reason to talk.

Two ways to get talking.

The same game and the same questions—you just choose where you are.

  • One phone, together

One phone between you, sitting face to face. Read the question out loud and take your time answering.

    • One phone
    • Face to face
    • Ask More
  • Each on your own phone

The same question reaches you both, each of you writes an answer on your own, and they open together. Pause and pick it up again whenever you like.

    • Two phones
    • Each in your own language
    • Answers reveal together

For two people who want more than “How was your day?”

Newly together, years into it, engaged, married, dating, or still getting to know each other—UNFOLD meets you where you are. You decide how light, honest, weird, or deep the conversation gets.

Your conversation stays yours.

There are no perfect answers and no pressure to share more than you want. Skip what doesn’t feel right, pause when you need to, and play at your own pace.

  • Your answer doesn’t reach your partner until you have both answered.

  • When you move on to the next question, the answers to the last one are deleted.

  • Nothing you write goes into our reports or our logs.

Questions people ask us

Is UNFOLD only for couples?

UNFOLD is made for two people in a relationship—whether you are just starting out, engaged, married, or years in. The questions are written for that particular space.

Do we need two phones?

No. You can play together on one device. If you would rather each play from your own phone, that works too.

How long is a session?

You choose how many questions when you start, and you can stop at any point. There’s no length you have to commit to.

What if a question feels uncomfortable?

You can change it. When you are each on your own phone, the change happens once you both agree—neither of you can switch the question alone.

Is it a compatibility test?

No. There are no scores, diagnoses, or “correct” answers. The point is the conversation, not a result.

Which languages are available?

Arabic and English. When you play from separate phones, each of you reads the same question in the language you chose.

You already know each other.
There’s still more to unfold.

Start with one question and see where it takes you.

Two people. A few minutes. No preparation needed.
